A Very Brilliant Party
The theme of the 2009 A Very
Brilliant Party was "Engaged About Household Matters": Faithfully
Restoring Margaretta's Home. Set in the year 1802,
Margaretta Mason Brown and Nancy Hart Brown welcomed guests
to Liberty Hall and a new exhibit on Federal furnishings and
interiors. At the Orlando Brown House, guests enjoyed
wine tastings by Capital Cellars and dinner by Holly Hill
Inn. A silent auction and raffle topped off the
evenings. The event took place on October 1 and 2,
2009.
