| Description |
Mahogany traveling desk. Exterior of desk is mahogany veneered with brass edging. Hardware, such as latch and handles, is also brass. Exterior top has brass medallion in center. On one side of exterior is drawer. Exterior bottom is covered with green felt. Interior has compartment with lid that functions as writing surface and is covered with green felt. At top interior are three lidded compartments with ivory pulls on lids, two insertable candleholders, and two glass jars with brass lids. On interior plate of lock is stamp "J. Bramah Patent" and small crown. |
