She is wearing a high woven hairdo and a pearl necklace. The queen has a glove on one hand and a pearl bracelet on the other. She holds a scarf in the gloved hand and a rose in the other. Victoria stands before an open window with books and a drapery. Outside the window is a castle and grounds. Beneath picture is title "Our Future Queen". Directly under left corner is "Painted by Sir William Hayter". Directly under center of picture is "Copyright" . Directly under left corner of picture is date 1837.
