Description: Classical battle scene involving several mounted cavalrymen and a fallen soldier. The cavalryman in the center is carrying a spear mounted with a banner and is attacking the other three soldiers. In the background is a large fortress. Under the picture is the title and a Biblical citation "Act. Ap. Cap 9. V. 4". There are two artist's labls beneath this: "In Tholo Ecc. Cathed. D. Pauli Lond. Jac. Thornhill Pinx." and "Car. Du Bose Sculp. Lond." Hand inscribed with translation of the title "Saul, Saul, why persicuteth thou me."
