With guest speaker, Judge Will Moynahan, we will discuss the U.S. Constitution and the rights it guarantees to citizens and non-citizens alike. Registration Required.
Free Event, All ages Welcome! 8:30pm - 10pm Join us in the garden to observe fireflies (or lightning bugs!) as they light up the evening sky with their luminescent displays. Learn about how and why they use their unique adaptation to communicate. As partners with Dark Sky Frankfort, our nighttime critters like fireflies, owls, and bats mean a lot to us! We are excited to invite everyone to experience the garden at night. Meet us in the back of Liberty Hall and bring your own jar! We encourage you to safely catch and release the fireflies found in our garden.
6pm - 8pm Free Event* Get a Slice of History and test your knowledge of Kentucky history and pop-culture! Join Liberty Hall at Local's Pizza for free pizza provided by Made by Us and Pizza to the Polls for a night of history, fun, and prizes. *Team Registration required in advance!
12pm - 3pm Free Event! Kick off your 4th of July celebrations at Liberty Hall Historic Site! Join the community from 12-3 for a picnic in the gardens with lawn games, live music, and fun for the whole family. Games will be provided by Liberty Hall, but guests should bring their own seating. Music performed by The Swells and sponsored by the City of Frankfort.
10:30am - 11:30am Free Event with Paul Sawyier Public Library. Foam here, foam there, foam everywhere! Play, dance, laugh, and get messy in fluffy, soapy foam. Participants should bring a towel and wear clothes that can get wet. This program is for children of all ages, accompanied by an adult. In the event of inclement weather, please check the Paul Sawyier Public Library Facebook Page for updates about this event. Please, no pets. We are unable to accommodate groups at this event.
11am - 12pm Free Event with Paul Sawyier Public Library. Meet the raptors! Learn the natural history, species statistics, and their individual stories of some of the birds of prey being cared by Raptor Rehabilitation of Kentucky! Families with kids of all ages are welcome. No registration required. Families should bring chairs or blankets to sit on the lawn.
